Refrigerated containers for rent in Calgary
Chilled and frozen storage units for rent or sale across Calgary, Rocky View County and southern Alberta.
Cold storage container rental across Calgary and Rocky View County
Our Alberta yard sits at 200 Norman Place in Rocky View County, a block south of Glenmore Trail and a couple of minutes from Stoney Trail. Sitting on such a pivotal route means we can get refrigerated containers to any part of Calgary without dragging a load through the middle of the city, and Chestermere, Langdon and the Foothills Industrial Park are all close by.
What we do is straightforward. Just tell us the temperature you need to hold and roughly how much space, and we’ll deliver a refrigerated container to your site, position it where you want it and you’ll quickly be up and running. When you no longer need it, we’ll come and collect it. There’s no build or permanent cold room costs – and no plant left standing in your yard afterwards.
TITAN is one of the most established names in temperature-controlled storage globally, working across more than 40 destinations in Canada and the US alone. The Alberta team knows what a Calgary site needs and can quickly help you make the right choice.

Industries we serve in Alberta
Alberta was carrying 4.85 million head of cattle at the start of 2026, more than any other province in Canada. Everything downstream of that number needs cold: processors, cutting plants, distributors, wholesalers and the trucking operations moving product east and south. It’s the reason blast freezing comes up in more conversations here than almost anywhere else we operate.
Cattle is only part of it. Around Calgary, our chiller and freezer containers are used by:
- Grocery chains and distribution centres covering a peak, a refit or a failed compressor
- Food and beverage manufacturers waiting on an expansion
- Hospitals, labs and life science teams with product they can’t afford to lose
- Oilfield, industrial and testing operations that need a controlled temperature rather than a cold one
- Event and catering crews working sites with no cold space at all
Choosing a reefer container in Calgary, and deciding how long you keep it
Most Calgary customers want an ArcticStore. It’s the unit the rest of the collection is built around and comes in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft. It will hold any set point between +45°C and -40°C. Whether you need a chiller or a freezer container, that single range covers the great majority of what gets asked for without reaching for a specialist model.
Where a specialist unit does earn its place:
- ArcticBlast – a proper blast freezer in 20ft and 40ft, built to take the heat out of a fresh batch rather than hold something already at temperature.
- Arctic UltraFreezer – 20ft and 40ft, reaching -75°C. Great for vaccines, clinical samples and low-temperature testing.
- ArcticStore Horizon – a 40ft freezer container designed for low energy use, 55% below a standard cooler on average, and supplied with solar panels.
- HotStore – heat up instead of cool down – to +85°C. 20ft and 40ft units.

How long is a refrigerated container rental?
Refrigerated container rental in Calgary tends to run longer than people expect – because once a container is installed and working, clients quickly see its value. Plenty of our contracts here last months and a fair number last years, though shorter rentals are perfectly normal too.
You’ll sign an agreement, and it won’t lock you in for the long haul if that’s not what you need. If you’d rather own the asset outright, we also have refrigerated containers for sale in Calgary and across Alberta.
If a single unit won’t cover it, 20ft and 40ft containers can be joined into an Arctic SuperStore, which gives you one open-plan cold room zoned for whatever temperatures the operation needs, blast freezing included. It’s a bigger conversation than a straight rental, so contact us early and we’ll give you a custom quote.
Before we deliver
Our own drivers bring the unit out and set it down, so there’s little for you to arrange beyond access and a place to put it. Ahead of the day, we’ll want to know:
- Whether the ground is firm and reasonably level, and how it behaves in spring
- If a truck can get in, turn and back up without any headaches
- What’s overhead, particularly cables and canopies
- How much clear space there’ll be at the door end for loading
- What power you have available
Worth knowing: the thing that most often holds up a delivery isn’t the container, it’s the electrical supply. If your site needs an electrician to get a suitable feed in place, book them when you book us rather than after the unit has landed. Our delivery guide covers the rest of the groundwork, and the dimensions page will tell you exactly how much room to clear.
Once you’re up and running, SmartArctic remote monitoring comes with most units. It lets you check temperatures, adjust a set point, start a defrost or pull the logs without going near the yard.
