Refrigerated containers for rent in Edmonton
Chilled, frozen and heated container storage to rent or buy across Edmonton and the wider Alberta capital region
Cold storage container rental in Edmonton and Parkland County
We have a yard at 26550 Acheson Road, in the Acheson Industrial Area on Parkland County’s eastern edge. It’s a serious piece of industrial land, roughly 12,400 acres of it, fed by Highways 16, 16A and 60. A second yard nearby, at 21216 – 113 Avenue NW, ensures we have plenty of cold storage units in stock year-round.
Being in the middle of one of Edmonton’s main road networks is the useful part for you: Edmonton’s west end starts just a few miles away, Spruce Grove is to the west, and Stony Plain, St. Albert and Devon are all short runs for our drivers.
We rent refrigerated containers in Edmonton on terms that suit the job, whether that’s a season or several years. Just tell us what you’re storing and the temperature you need to maintain, and we’ll bring a unit to your site, place it where you want it and show you how to switch it on. When you’re done, we collect it.
TITAN operates in more than 40 destinations across Canada and the US, and has been in temperature-controlled storage for around two decades. There’s not much you can throw at us that we haven’t seen.

Getting a reefer container onto your site
Our drivers handle the delivery and position the unit for you, so there’s no crane to arrange and nothing much for you to do on the day. Most of the work happens in the conversation beforehand, and it comes down to five questions.
- Is the ground firm and roughly level, and does it stay that way year-round?
- Is there room for a truck to come in, swing round and back up?
- What’s overhead – cables, canopies, low branches?
- How much clear space is there at the door end?
- What power supply have you got, and does it need work?
Our top TITAN tip: decide which way the doors should face before we arrive, not after. Once a unit is set down, levelled and connected, turning it round is a proper job rather than a nudge with a forklift. Walk the route your pallets will take, then tell us the orientation you want. Our delivery guide covers the rest of the details.
Which unit – and how cold?
The default answer for many clients is an ArcticStore, and for good reason. Our signature refrigerated container comes in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft and holds any set point from +45°C down to -40°C, which spans nearly everything most operations need from a chiller or a freezer container.
The other models are there for more specific jobs:
- ArcticBlast – a blast freezer in 20ft and 40ft. Built to take heat out of a fresh batch quickly.
- Arctic UltraFreezer – 20ft and 40ft units that drop temperatures as low as -75°C. Well-suited to vaccines, clinical samples and deep-cold testing.
- HotStore – the warm end of the range, up to +85°C, in 20ft and 40ft. Chemicals, curing, drying and anything that mustn’t get cold.
- ArcticStore Horizon – a 40ft unit built for low energy use, needing an average of 55% less power than a standard cooler, and supplied with solar panels.
Every reefer container we send out around Edmonton comes from this one collection, so the build quality and the safety features are the same whichever you pick.

Who’s renting cold storage around Edmonton?
A fair spread of people need cold storage containers! Food and beverage processors make up a good share of it, and the capital region has plenty of them.
Beyond that, we deal with grocery distribution centres covering a refit or a breakdown, meat and produce handlers topping up capacity for a few months, hospitals and research labs, industrial firms running temperature testing, and camp and remote-site operators staging supplies before they head north.
Edmonton is where a lot of northern work gets loaded, and a freezer container rental unit that can be trucked in, run at -20°C and trucked out again suits that pattern far better than anything permanent.
How long to keep it, and whether to buy
Most refrigerated container rentals in Edmonton run longer than people first assume. Months is common, years is not unusual, and short rentals are fine too. Our contracts are designed to be flexible, rather than restrictive.
If one unit isn’t enough, 20ft and 40ft containers can be combined into an Arctic SuperStore – an open-plan cold room that we will design to fit the space you have and split into temperature zones, if needed.
Buying is an option as well. We have refrigerated containers for sale in Edmonton and across Alberta if owning the asset suits you better than renting it.
One last thing: an innovative bit of tech called SmartArctic comes with most rental units. The platform gives you remote monitoring and control, so temperatures, set points, defrost cycles and log files are all reachable without a drive out to the yard.
Any questions? We’re here to help. Whether you’re new to reefer rental or have been doing it for years and need a new supplier, our friendly team has everything you need.
