Refrigerated containers for rent in Kelowna
Chillers, freezer containers and heated units to rent or buy in Kelowna and throughout the Okanagan.
Cold storage container rental in Kelowna
TITAN covers Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley. If your operation needs more temperature-controlled space than your building gives you, we can put that space in your yard instead.
The argument for renting reefer containers rather than building is mostly about timing. Cold rooms take months and commit you to a footprint. A refrigerated container can be up and running quickly, and you keep it for a season, a contract or a decade, whichever you end up needing. Our drivers bring it in, position it to suit your operation and you’re good to go.
Cold storage isn’t a sideline for TITAN. It’s our specialty, and we’ve been doing this for decades across more than 40 destinations in Canada and the US.

Wine country runs on temperature
The Okanagan holds roughly 86% of British Columbia’s vineyard acreage, and the province had 306 licensed grape wineries on the books at the start of 2025. Wineries need cold space at both ends of the process: chilling fruit as it comes in during a hot September, then holding finished stock somewhere stable rather than somewhere merely available.
And it isn’t only wineries
The valley grows a great deal besides grapes, and Kelowna itself has outgrown the small city it used to be. Our enquiries here come from:
- Orchards and packing houses working through cherry, apple and stone fruit season
- Supermarkets and wholesalers riding out a refit or an equipment failure
- Restaurants, hotels and caterers through the summer months
- Food manufacturers waiting on a permanent expansion
- Hospitals, clinics and laboratories with samples that have to stay at a precise temperature
Choosing the right cold storage unit
Everything we rent belongs to TITAN’s ArcticStore collection, which keeps the build and safety fittings consistent, regardless of the model you need.
The ArcticStore handles most requirements on its own. It comes in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft, working anywhere between +45°C and -40°C, so a single reefer container in Kelowna can run chilled through harvest and as a freezer container by December.
Beyond that, the ArcticBlast is a blast freezer in 20ft and 40ft, built for pulling heat out of freshly picked or freshly made product in hours rather than days. The Arctic UltraFreezer goes down to -75°C for clinical and laboratory work or for storing high-value oily fish, such as bluefin tuna.
Our HotStore unit looks after the warm end of the scale, all the way up to +85°C. And the ArcticStore Horizon is a 40ft low-energy model which needs about 55% less power, on average, than a conventional cooler.
If you’re deciding between sizes, it’s worth considering pallets rather than square feet. Our dimensions page lists the figures for each model.

Siting your container, and running it well
Before delivery, we’ll want to know about the ground, the approach for a truck, anything overhead and what power you have available. The delivery guide covers all of that.
Most units include SmartArctic for remote monitoring and control, which means set points, defrost cycles, alarms and the full temperature log are available to you from anywhere, 24/7.
Worth thinking about: the Okanagan gets hot, and a refrigeration unit standing in full afternoon sun has to work considerably harder than the same unit in shade. If your site offers a north or east aspect, a wall to sit against or anything that breaks the worst of the afternoon heat, use it. You’ll notice the difference in the power bill by August.
Rental terms, bigger builds and buying
Refrigerated container rental in Kelowna often starts as a seasonal arrangement and turns into something longer. Months are normal, years are common, and brief rentals are perfectly possible. We’ll work on a contract with you, drawn around the period you genuinely need.
Should one unit stop being enough, a group of 20ft and 40ft models can be assembled into an Arctic SuperStore, which gives you a single open-plan cold room laid out to fit the site and split into separate temperature zones if needed. It’s a planned build rather than a delivery, so mention it early – likewise if you want a two-storey Arctic MegaStore.
Ownership is an option too. Ask us about refrigerated containers for sale in Kelowna and throughout the interior. We have competitive rates, great aftercare and a wide delivery network.
