Refrigerated containers for rent in Quebec City
Rent or purchase a chiller, freezer container or heated store for sites in Quebec City and throughout the region.
Cold storage container rental in Quebec City
TITAN covers Quebec City and the surrounding area. If you’re short of cold space, the extra capacity comes to you rather than being built into your site.
What you get is a working cold room without the long, dusty project normally associated with it. We bring a refrigerated container to your premises, put it exactly where you ask and leave you to start loading. It stays as long as the work requires – nothing to design, and nothing left standing in the yard once you’ve finished with it.
Temperature control is all TITAN Canada has ever done, and we operate across more than 40 destinations in North America.

A province built on perishables
Quebec produces close to 40% of Canada’s milk, from thousands of dairy farms feeding more than 100 processing plants. Dairy is about as unforgiving a cold chain as there is, and it sets the tone for a lot of what happens around Quebec City: fresh product, short windows, no margin for faulty equipment on a warm afternoon.
Our enquiries here come from across that landscape:
- Dairy, cheese and food processors working around a shutdown, a line change or a peak
- Grocery chains and distributors covering a refit or an equipment failure
- Growers and market gardens through the harvest months
- Restaurants, hotels and caterers who have run out of walk-in space
- Festival and event teams, of which this city has more than its share
Other clients include:
- Hospitals, laboratories and research groups holding samples and reagents
- Industrial clients who need hot or cold storage for testing components
Chilled, frozen, or something more specialized
Any reefer container going out to a Quebec City site comes from TITAN’s ArcticStore collection. Here’s how to pick the right model for the job.
- You need to hold a steady temperature. The ArcticStore, in 10ft, 20ft or 40ft, maintains temperatures from +45°C to -40°C. One unit does both chilled and frozen work, and it makes up the bulk of what leaves our yards.
- You need to pull temperature down quickly. The ArcticBlast, in 20ft and 40ft sizes. A blast freezer removes heat from a fresh batch at speed, which is a different job from holding product that has already cooled.
- You need to go well below -40°C. The Arctic UltraFreezer, 20ft and 40ft, drops down to -75°C for clinical and research material.
- You need heat rather than cold. The HotStore, in 20ft and 40ft, heats up to +85°C. Useful for chemicals, curing and drying.
Where running costs matter, the ArcticStore Horizon is a 40ft freezer container that draws about 55% less power, on average, than a conventional unit. It comes with solar panels.

Pallet footprint guide
Packing your ArcticStore containers needs care and precision to maximise the available space. This guide will help you to quickly see what’s possible.
Our ultra-energy-efficient units suit consignments of all shapes and sizes.
With no set size restrictions, your cold storage options in our custom-built SuperStores are virtually limitless.
Practical points before you order
- Temperature. Know your set point and whether anything needs to be brought down quickly rather than simply kept cold.
- Volume. Pallets are a better guide than floor area. A 20ft unit holds ten standard Euro pallets when you’re purely storing, and fewer once people need to get past them.
- Power. What’s available, and whether an electrician is needed before the unit arrives.
- Site. You need ground that holds firm, an approach a truck can manage, and space to work at the door end. Our delivery guide covers the detail.
Most units include SmartArctic, which gives you remote monitoring and control of set points, defrost cycles, alarms and logs. We also have accessories such as ramps and shelving available to rent.
A point people sometimes miss: bring the container down to temperature before you load it, not afterwards. An empty unit reaches its set point quickly. A full one, loaded warm and asked to catch up, takes considerably longer. Meanwhile, your product spends that whole period somewhere you’d rather it wasn’t. Half a day of running empty is pretty cheap insurance against a spoiled load!

When the rental comes to an end
Our contracts can be rolled over as needed. If the job overruns, extending is simple – and refrigerated container rentals in Quebec City often last longer than anyone initially intended. Plenty of cold storage rentals that began as a stopgap are still running years later.
Should things turn out to be permanent, we sell as well as rent refrigerated containers, with units available in Quebec City and throughout the province.
If one or two units are no longer enough, 20ft and 40ft models can be joined into a larger open-plan cold room, with separate temperature zones if needed. Forty-footers can even be stacked over two levels to form an Arctic MegaStore if ground space is short.
These are specialized, custom setups, so let us know well in advance.
