Refrigerated containers for rent in Saskatoon
Chilled, frozen and heated storage units available to rent or buy in Saskatoon and central Saskatchewan.
Cold storage container rental in Saskatoon
We have a Saskatchewan yard at 402 Cory Road, in the industrial ground off Highway 12 on the north side of Saskatoon. That highway helps a lot: Martensville, Warman and Dalmeny sit straight up it, Clavet is a short run the other way, and many surrounding towns are comfortably inside our normal reach.
Refrigerated container rental in Saskatoon is pretty straightforward when you deal with TITAN. Our drivers deliver the unit, put it wherever you ask – and in many cases you’ll be up and running the same day. You keep it for as long as the work goes on. There’s no months-long design stage, no build and nothing to demolish at the end of it.
Cold storage is what we do, and we’ve been doing it for decades. Today, we have yards at more than 40 destinations in Canada and the US.

Industries we serve in Saskatoon
Saskatoon has an unusual concentration of laboratory work for a prairie city. Innovation Place, the research park beside the University of Saskatchewan, sits alongside VIDO and the Canadian Light Source synchrotron, and between them they pull a remarkable amount of vaccine, agricultural and materials research into the city.
That changes what people ask us for. Alongside the food and agriculture work you’d expect, we get enquiries about validated low temperatures, sample integrity and what happens to a stored batch if something goes wrong at two in the morning.
Around Saskatoon, our units go to:
- Research groups, laboratories and clinical teams holding samples and reagents
- Food processors and meat plants covering a shutdown or a seasonal run
- Supermarkets and food wholesalers experiencing demand spikes or in need of additional long-term cold storage
- Farms, market gardens and produce handlers through the harvest
- Hospitality and event operations short of chilled space
- Manufacturers and testing facilities running components at a fixed temperature
Deep cold first, then everything else
Most cities we serve start and finish with our signature model. Saskatoon asks about the specialist end pretty often, so it’s worth discussing that first. The model in question is our Arctic UltraFreezer, which reaches -75°C and is available in 20ft and 40ft sizes.
Twin compressors and heavier insulation put it in the territory of vaccines, biological material and low-temperature testing, and it holds your set point reliably rather than approximately.
For everything above that, the ArcticStore is the workhorse: it comes in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft and holds any set point from +45°C down to -40°C. The same machine works as a chiller or as a freezer container through Saskatoon’s harder months, and that flexibility is why it makes up the bulk of what we send out.
The ArcticBlast is the one to ask about when product needs to lose heat in hours rather than overnight, and the HotStore covers the warm side, up to +85°C. There’s also the ArcticStore Horizon, a 40ft model built for low running costs, using around 55% less energy, on average, than the standard version. It has solar panels, too.

Pallet footprint guide
Packing your ArcticStore containers needs care and precision to maximise the available space. This guide will help you to quickly see what’s possible.
Our ultra-energy-efficient units suit consignments of all shapes and sizes.
With no set size restrictions, your cold storage options in our custom-built SuperStores are virtually limitless.
Ordering and siting your cold storage unit
Before setting a delivery date, we’ll ask about the ground, the approach for a truck, anything overhead and the power supply. None of it is complicated, and our delivery guide sets out the detail.
SmartArctic comes with most units, giving you remote monitoring and control along with a complete temperature record. Check in from your phone from anywhere, anytime. It’s worth agreeing early who on your team will have access.
Helpful hint: set the temperature your product actually needs, not two or three degrees below it for reassurance. Running colder than necessary wastes energy every hour the unit is on, and with fresh produce, it can cause real damage. Plenty of fruit and vegetables suffer chilling injury at temperatures well above freezing.

Getting your unit onto site
Our containers are delivered on the back of a truck and set down by a TITAN driver, so the main thing to sort out beforehand is access and ground.
A few things worth checking:
- Firm, reasonably level ground where the unit will sit
- A clear path for the truck, with room to swing and reverse
- Space at the door end for loading, plus a little clearance for airflow
- Your power supply, which our team will confirm with you before delivery
Our delivery guide covers this in more detail. If you’re weighing up sizes, pallet counts or running costs, our cold storage FAQ is a good place to start.
Most units also come with SmartArctic, our remote monitoring and control platform. It lets you check temperatures, change set points, start a defrost and pull log files from anywhere – which beats driving across the city at 2 am to see if the alarm was real.
Rental terms, larger builds and buying
A reefer container in Saskatoon rarely goes out for a fortnight. Months are pretty common; years are popular, too. But brief rentals can be arranged when that’s genuinely what you need – we’re pretty flexible.
When one or more containers start to look full, multiple 20ft and 40ft units can be combined to form an Arctic SuperStore. These are created on-demand for you and give you a single open-plan cold room, laid out around the site and divided into separate temperature zones if needed. Tight space? We can create a modular two-storey cold room, too.
Buying cold space is also an option. Ask about refrigerated containers for sale in Saskatoon and across the province if owning the asset makes more sense than renting it.
