Refrigerated containers for rent in Vancouver
A full range of refrigerated and freezer containers to rent or buy in the city and right across British Columbia.
Extra cold space, minus the building work
Cold storage problems rarely give you much notice. A compressor packs up, a season runs long, a new contract lands and suddenly you wish you had more space.
A refrigerated container is the quickest way out of that. We deliver a working cold store to your site, positioned exactly where you want it. Set the controls, and you’ll be ready to start loading up as soon as you’ve hit your desired temperature. There’s nothing to construct, and nothing to knock down afterwards.
Our BC yard is at 7420 Hopcott Road, in Delta’s Tilbury industrial area, around 10 miles south of downtown Vancouver. Highway 17 runs past the door and feeds straight onto Highway 99 and Highway 91, so Richmond, Surrey, Burnaby, New Westminster and Langley are all a comfortable run for our drivers.
TITAN has been providing cold storage for around two decades and has yards in more than 40 locations across Canada and the US. So when you call about refrigerated container rental in Vancouver, you get someone who has already solved a problem much like yours.

Every reefer container we rent in Vancouver comes from TITAN’s own ArcticStore collection. The models differ mostly in how cold they go and how fast they get there:
- ArcticStore – the workhorse, available in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft. Anywhere between +45°C and -40°C, so it handles chilled and frozen work in the same unit.
- ArcticBlast – 20ft and 40ft. Built to pull heat out of a fresh batch quickly, which matters for meat, fish, poultry and just-picked produce.
- Arctic UltraFreezer – 20ft and 40ft, reaching -75°C. The one for vaccines, clinical samples and low-temperature testing.
- ArcticStore Horizon – a 40ft freezer container designed to reduce power consumption (by an average of 55%), and supplied with solar panels for the roof.
- HotStore – heat up rather than cool down, all the way to +85°C. These 20ft and 40ft units are useful for chemicals, curing, drying and keeping products above ambient.

Industries we support across the Lower Mainland
BC grows a lot of fruit. Farms here account for 88.6% of Canada’s highbush blueberry acreage. Berries come off the bush in a narrow window and have to be cooled fast, which is why harvest is one of our busiest times of year.
Cold storage container rental in Vancouver is far from a berry-season business. Around the city, our units are rented by:
- Grocery stores and distribution centres riding out a peak or a breakdown
- Seafood processors and importers handling chilled and frozen catch
- Growers and packers adding capacity for a few months of the year
- Breweries, bakeries and food manufacturers between expansions
- Hospitals, labs and life science teams with stock they can’t risk
- Event and catering crews working on sites with no cold space at all
- Engineers who need to test components in extreme conditions
A TITAN tip: if you’re chilling a fresh batch rather than holding stock, resist the urge to pack the container solid. Cooling speed depends on air moving across the surface of what you’re freezing, so a little space between pallets gets you to temperature faster than squeezing in one more.
Going bigger without going permanent
If one container isn’t enough, we can join 20ft and 40ft units together into an Arctic SuperStore – a single open-plan cold room, sized to your yard and zoned for different temperatures where you need them, including blast freezing.
Industrial land is tight in this part of BC, so it is worth knowing about the Arctic MegaStore too. It stacks 40ft units over two storeys and gives you far more volume on the same patch of ground.
Both go up in days. A permanent cold room takes months, costs a great deal more and still stands there long after you’ve stopped needing it.

What happens on delivery day
Our own drivers handle the run and place the unit for you, so the conversation beforehand is short and practical. We mainly need to know about the ground and the route in.
These are all worth considering before we arrive:
- Is the pad firm and roughly level? Does it turn soft after heavy rain?
- Can a truck get in, turn and reverse without a struggle?
- Is there anything in the way high up, such as cables or low branches?
- Will the doors have clear space in front of them for loading?
- Is your power supply sorted? Our team will go through it with you.
There is more detail in our delivery guide, and our cold storage FAQ answers most of the questions that come up before an order.
Once you’re up and running, SmartArctic comes with most units. It lets you check temperatures, change a set point, kick off a defrost or pull the logs, all from your phone.
Rent it, or buy it if that suits you better
Most Vancouver customers rent. It keeps the spend off the balance sheet, and the unit goes back when the season ends or the building work finishes. Terms are flexible, and nobody is going to tie you down for decades.
That said, if the need looks permanent, we also have refrigerated containers for sale in Vancouver and across BC. You get the same range and the same great service either way.
