Refrigerated containers for rent in Victoria
Chilled, frozen and heated container storage available to rent or buy in Victoria and across Vancouver Island.
Cold storage container rental in Victoria
TITAN covers Victoria and the Island. When you need more cold space than you have, we can put a unit on your site quickly – no need to plan a permanent build.
Renting suits short- and mid-term needs much better than construction does. A cold room means drawings, budgets, contractors and a permanent structure you may not want in five years. A refrigerated container means none of that.
Our drivers deliver your fridge/freezer container, position it where it suits your operation and hand it over. Keep it for however long the work lasts.
Temperature-controlled storage is the only thing TITAN Canada does, and we do it in over 40 destinations across North America.

Industries we serve in Victoria
Victoria’s demand curve is unlike most cities we work in. In a single week of September 2025, fourteen cruise ships put close to 47,000 passengers ashore at Ogden Point. Multiply that over a season and you get restaurants, hotels, caterers and suppliers whose volumes swing enormously across the year.
A rented chiller or freezer container in Victoria answers that neatly, because you hold the extra capacity for the months you need it and hand it back afterwards. Around the city and the Island, our units go to:
- Hotels, restaurants and catering operations working through the visitor season
- Grocery stores and distributors covering a refit or compressor problems
- Seafood and shellfish businesses storing product before it ships
- Growers, wineries and food producers through harvest
- Hospitals, laboratories and research teams storing samples
- Event organizers and festival crews with no cold space on site

Pallet footprint guide
Packing your ArcticStore containers needs care and precision to maximise the available space. This guide will help you to quickly see what’s possible.
Our ultra-energy-efficient units suit consignments of all shapes and sizes.
With no set size restrictions, your cold storage options in our custom-built SuperStores are virtually limitless.
Which cold storage unit should you choose
Everything we rent out comes from TITAN’s ArcticStore collection, so the construction and the safety elements are consistent across the range. And it’s a range that has proven itself time and again at client sites worldwide.
The reefer container most Victoria customers take is our standard ArcticStore model. Available in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft sizes, it holds any set point from +45°C down to -40°C, so one machine can run chilled through the spring and as a freezer container all summer.
For anything faster, there’s the ArcticBlast, a blast freezer in 20ft and 40ft that drives heat out of a warm batch in hours. For deep freezing, we have the Arctic UltraFreezer, which reaches -75°C for laboratory and clinical stock, as well as oily fish. The HotStore works at the opposite end of the scale, warming goods up to +85°C.
If energy efficiency is high on the agenda, TITAN’s ArcticStore Horizon deserves a mention too: this is a 40ft unit that draws around 55% less energy on average than a standard model, and comes with solar panels.
Planning a delivery to your business site
You’ll need somewhere with firm, level ground, a route that suits a truck, nothing awkward overhead and a power supply that’s ready. Our delivery guide has the detail, and the cold storage FAQ covers most of what comes up beforehand.
Being away from the mainland, as many of our clients in Victoria are, makes SmartArctic invaluable. It comes with most units and offers remote monitoring and control of your reefer containers.
One detail people forget: a running chiller sheds condensate, especially during a mild damp winter. Put the container where that water drains away from the doorway rather than across it. It’s a two-minute decision on delivery day and a nuisance for months if you get it wrong.

How long to rent for, and what to do if you need more space
Refrigerated container rentals in Victoria tend to last months and often years, though shorter seasonal rentals are entirely normal here, too. There’s a contract, which we’ll write around the period you actually need.
If one unit won’t cover the requirement, several 20ft and 40ft models can be linked into an Arctic SuperStore, a single open-plan cold room arranged to fit the site and divided into temperature zones where the work calls for it. That’s a planned project, not a next-week delivery, so raise it early.
Buying is possible as well. We keep refrigerated containers for sale in Victoria and elsewhere on Vancouver Island.
